After a lot of recording, and then having those recordings mixed and mastered by the renowned Tim Greencorn of Little Chicago Studios, Cassandra Syndrome's first full-length album, "Of Patriots and Tyrants", is complete.

'Skadi's Touch' from our new album is available on our myspace page and our webpage, and you can play it or download it for free.  Additionally, we've got a streaming version of "None But Shadows" also available on our MySpace.

Check it out, and remember--the album is available for sale online now and will be available at our album release party at Brigid's Faire in Leesburg, Virginia on Saturday, February 7th.

SJ Tucker - healing thoughts/prayers/donations? [05 Jan 2009|10:51pm]

penneychica
Apparently I am behind the times by a few days, but as i hadn't seen anything posted in our community, maybe I'm not the only one who didn't know.

SJ Tucker, singer/songstress fell quite ill just before the new year.  Her diagnosis isn't clear and her friends/family/fans (and we know how blurred those lines can be) have been raising money to help with the bills.  We know that most musicians aren't millionaires.

[ mood | artistic ]

My lovely wife and I are heading north with our son to upstate New York. While we are there, I have booked a show at The Lyric Coffee House on Saturday July 26 at 7:30. The Lyric is in beautiful downtown Clayton Ny, just south of the Canadian border. I will be doing my normal song and tales of mystery show, but I will, of course, include some ER favorites. It should be a lot of fun so if you are anywhere near Clayton please drop by.

More Pagan Music [28 May 2008|03:36pm]

Well I just uploaded the final versions of all the cuts to soundclick. Included is a new studio version of ," Never Underestimate." There wasn't really a studio version of this song available, so I recorded one with the boy's blessing. This was the first "hit" for Emerald Rose. I hope you like the new version. I should have factory burned cds in a couple of weeks and the regular pressed ones in 6 weeks. Woot!

I just stuck another tune up on soundclick. Up till now they have more mellow. This is a blues rock song, think pagan Cream, about how you can find the Goddess if you just shut up and Listen. I still have a few tweaks to do on it. but enjoy!

I just put three more songs up on Soundclick
Circle of Love---. Its a story song about how two seekers found the pagan path and subsequently each other. I must admit that you can hear the Jackson Browne influence here.
Blood of Summer-- A song about the connection between all life and all time. Yeah, I know its a light subject.
Pantheon-- A chant for both god and goddess.... Hear the original from of the chant that became "Freya Shakti."

New Song Lyrics [06 Oct 2007|01:43pm]

leafslayer
I'd like to share this song with everyone and get a little feedback.
It's called: "The Oak Witch and the Hunter Herne"

A Minstrel in the forest,
Approached a Ladyoak.
Some of her leaves were falling,
And he caught them in his cloak.

He dried them and,
He ground them.
For strength in Magick spells.
Somewhere in the distance,
He heard the ringing Solstice bells.

The Moon was full,
The shadows long.
The magick made him
Feel so strong.

The Full Moon,
Makes his passion burn.
As he invokes,
The Hunter Herne.

In him swells an ancient urge,
As horns and antlers both emerge.
He searches for a Lady Fair,
With oak leaves woven into her hair.

As he crests the moonlit hill,
She sees his shadow standing still.
His silhouette lit by the Moon,
She knows he will be there soon.

The Moon was full,
The shadows long.
The magick made her
Feel so strong.

The Full Moon,
Makes her passion burn.
As she evokes,
The Hunter Herne.

He saw the witch with wand in hand,
A circle to be cast.
Once around and twice around,
He had to move in fast.

Before she closed the circle,
Before he was blocked out.
He jumped in right in front of her,
And landed with a SHOUT.

The Moon was full,
The shadows long.
The magick made them
Feel so strong.

The Full Moon,
Makes their passions burn.
The Oak Witch and,
The Hunter Herne.

Their eyes met in the darkness,
Their hearts beat in the night.
They made love in the forest,
Lit only by Moonlight.

A Minstrel in the forest,
Approached a Ladyoak.
Some of her leaves were falling,
And he caught them in his cloak.

The Moon was full,
The shadows long.
The magick made them
Feel so strong.

The Full Moon,
Makes their passions burn.
The Oak Witch and,
The Hunter Herne.

My band is scheduled to play there in January and I'd like to discuss it with anyone who may have been there before.

Emerald Rose was AWSOME [26 Aug 2007|07:12am]

morningdove3202
Wow! I finaly got to see Emerald Rose live at the Swartz Center in Dover, DE! What a wonderful performance. They played all my favorite songs! We got there a few minutes late, but not too bad. Vincent enjoyed it, but then fell asleep after the intermission.  Everyone from the ASW was there, and we were hugging everyone, and running into people I see at PPD every year. It was an awsome way to kick off PPD. And Emerald Rose will be teaching a workshop at the PPD!  I'm going to ask them to play  "Santa Clause is Pagan Too!" today.  And they all wore kilts! Their new CD is out too, and I'm going to get it. They have a song,  "The Faries stole my Keys" which is so cute!  And they have a song about a man who's woman was stolen by a "Tree Hugging Man".   So very cool!  I'm going to take my CD cover to be signed!

What a wonderful birthday present! Happy Happy Joy Joy!

Update: I got their new CD "Con Suite" and OMG it's so funny!
